IPC Faroe Islands Excursions 2023:
Drive to the island of Vágar, visit the fine
villages of Bø and Gásadalur. Visit the
waterfall in Gásadalur before we take a
fine hike to Trælanípan approx. 2-2½
hours along a path leading along the lake
over the ocean.

We drive to Vestmanna and continue on a boat tour to the fantastic Vestmanna cliffs, sailing close along the towering cliffs (tour is approx. 1½ hrs) continue to the idyllic village of Saksun, enroute having lunch at a local farmers house.
After the visit in Saksun we return towards Tórshavn drive over the mountains and continue to the village of Kirkjubøur the island’s oldest cultural centre. Here you will be introduced to the ruins of the 13th century St. Magnus Cathedral and the 11th century church, still in use. We also visit the 900-year old “Roykstovan”, the old bishopric, considered to be the oldest wooden house in Europe – still occupied by the 17th generation. Return to Tórshavn.
